more new record avoidance though. i'm starting to feel i will never live to hear it, much like the seattle mariners winning the baseball world series, haha. steve has a good point about 4K release being a grand idea.

I'm still baffled as to why 40 didn't get a 4K release to be honest
On my small basic HD tv I can already see the sweat pearling on their face, which is not always nice in my opinion, so a 4K release allowing to see their black points is not useful for me. (just a personnal comment, don't throw mushy apples at me!)

me too! i was disappointed they didn't release it that way. i don't know about cureation but hyde park was actually filmed in 4K. probably put it out in a few years to milk more money from the well equipped die hards.
In my opinion, this film will be more interesting than Anniversary or Curaetion. Not only for the show itself (this one + Glastonbury were the best performances of 2019. Repeat: in my opinion). Plus, I think Nick Wickham got the "magic" on The Cure live (on Curaetion and this Sydney film). Much more than Tim Pope on Anniversary. I must say I never liked too much the Trilogy DVD (not the show, of course. I mean: the film), but Nick really made a good job with these latest films. I know, my point of view is too personal... Anyway, always great to have "new" stuff from The Cure! And all we know there are a lot more waiting for release!
Concerning the 3 Clips that has been released now: Are those from the same show that has been streamed live on youtube or from one of the other Sydney shows?
By the way. Not a fan of how Wickham filmed the Meltdown Concert. Prefer the Anniversary show.
