I'm still struggling with the whole Glasto thing. If those tossers at viagogo are being forced to make sure all information is made available for the tickets they resell, how is it that Glasto can effectively sell lottery tickets with a venue & a price being the only information available?

Demand. And they're squeaky clean in terms of where the money goes. It really doesn't matter who plays..

But they'd still shift the tickets even after announcing the line up. I don't think they should be allowed to sell tickets for a mystery festival at all.
With them playing glasto with no cure fans there, it could be completely empty in front of stage with everyone going to watch other bands!
There'll be plenty of people who may like The Cure, but it won't be empty. It'll be full of people all bouncing inflatables around & waving bizarre flags and not actually absorbing The Cure. People who go to Glasto don't absorb anything really. It's just another badge these days.

I'm sure they absorb plenty of whatever party drugs are in these days...
I'm not sure myself. If I was there and wasn't a cure fan, there's no way I'd want to watch some dinosaur band playing ancient songs from 25+ years ago! It's a big difference from the last time they headlined in 95 when they were a popular current band with a number 1 album (wish) and playing new songs. A lot of this year's glasto crowd won't have even been born the last time the band had a hit and will be like "who are the cure?"
I hope they do get some kind of audience but if they don't, there's always the 1 million pounds+ fee to soften the blow.
