You might be right. Robert himself did say that he's been unable to write lyrics for a good while & that there's like 3 or 4 albums worth of instrumentals already written.
hmmmm.....an instrumental album... i think they could make a fantastic album with no,or sparse vocals.... anyone else agree?
I think they've earned a few months off. A couple of dates at Hammersmith, 2 days before Xmas and playing all of KMKMKM and some B sides should see us out perfectly

Considering Carnage Visors, yes, but that was a long time ago. Save

yeah,i’m thinking more along the lines of something that could be used as a soundtrack, longer pieces of music rather than 4/5 minute tracks, that were possibly just waiting lyrics.

i think with reeves and roger they could come up with something really good, altough i can imagine robert having to reign them in at times to retain a ‘cure’ sound😄
Well Bob did say there'd be shows next year, but then again you can take that whichever way you wish given all the fabled releases over the past few years. He has said Wish was now done & that he hoped there's be more "heres" next year (at Curaetion 25). I think we'll see a Disintegration 30th anniversary. Whether it'll be a re-issue or event(s) (or both) who knows? I think right now he (going by his recent interviews) has been inspired to write lyrics again, but if there is to be a new release, they're going to need a label aren't they?
I know you will violently disagree with this steve but I think Nothing Records (Trent Reznor's label) would be a good home for a new record. I think they would take good care of Robert & band & give them the attention they so deserve. I don't see the Cure working out with someone like Anti or ATO. Sub Pop has been branching out some (see Beach House). Maybe that would be a decent fit. They certainly would make a big deal of it!

They don't need advances etc, just need a distribution deal. Surely Fiction could do that job? (and can we have Dave Allen back, please?)

I kind of agree with Steve on this one. I like NIN (I know he does not) But the last thing we want is The Cure to be slaves to Trent and his crew. Robert should have his own label! Is this so impossible?? I'm not an expert at these things.
