We've had a Lol book, a calendar, a 10 day arts festival with a sneaky gig, a new deluxe release, a museum exhibition and a massive sunbaked party. And it's only July.
It's all very unCurelike this 40th anniversary but it feels like there's stil some momentum - which one of Robert's obvious lies will turn out to be truth next?

I hope a surprise gig in New York city this fall! Which technically would not be a fib since nyc is not in Europe.
I also suspect they have something going on outside Europe, since it was specific said: only european show of 2018
Otherwise they might just have said: only show in 2018
Right?
Not that I care, since I’m not going outside Europa this year, unless they have a show in Chicago... then I might attend *sneaky*
I would love to go to Chicago.I've never been. We could see our sang too which is even better.
Yeah, I was just having a conversation with Mr. K about how I don't know Chicago at all. Would definitely relish (on a Chicago dog) a show there.
Hey, we're going to start rumors about a Chicago show, at this rate. It's like the telephone game...
I did have in mind another 2018 show since the language of "only show in Europe" was so specific. Does Vatican City count as Europe? Maybe that's what they have in mind. Save

I'm so anxious about new shows, because in my current situation I literally can't ask for "holidays", so if it's not on Saturday or Sunday I could hardly go and that would be a nightmare! But if they add some other date, it will probably be in the US... I've never been there because until a few days ago I hadn't a passport, but now with Brexit I've had to make one. And I've already started saving for the next ticket... so who knows???

We'll I guarantee you if you came to NYC I would make sure you had a great time! I'm sure others in here would too! They play great stuff in Nyc.

Ohhh that'd be a dream! I would never come if I knew I'd be alone, but if that would mean to meet the US branch of my Cure family, well, that would be a totally different story!

We often have European representation (and South American) at the New York shows too!

Ah, man. I really, really don't believe in lying and won't do it, but I feel as though I could (almost) condone lying to your employer about being sick or something to go see TC.
Is there any minor, outpatient surgery you need to have done? Maybe getting a piercing could count so you wouldn't *actually* be lying when you say you are taking leave and will have some surgery, I mean when you come to the US to see TC and get a piercing while you're here.

I am, perhaps unwisely, just kind of counting on some kind of US (multiple nights of small venue shows in NYC please, a la Reflections, since it's my reverie) showing in 2018. This is my living in la la land with rainbows, glitter, chocolate and all the other hedonistic sh!t.
I am also kind of operating under the assumption there will be at least a small tour with international dates in 2019, maybe 2020. At that point, it will be three years out from the last large tour. Time is passing more quickly and there is none to waste! Save
I think that they are saving new work in development for other occasions.
You might be right. Robert himself did say that he's been unable to write lyrics for a good while & that there's like 3 or 4 albums worth of instrumentals already written.
I wish that they would release a few instrumental albums.

hmmmm.....an instrumental album... i think they could make a fantastic album with no,or sparse vocals.... anyone else agree?
Well Bob did say there'd be shows next year, but then again you can take that whichever way you wish given all the fabled releases over the past few years. He has said Wish was now done & that he hoped there's be more "heres" next year (at Curaetion 25). I think we'll see a Disintegration 30th anniversary. Whether it'll be a re-issue or event(s) (or both) who knows? I think right now he (going by his recent interviews) has been inspired to write lyrics again, but if there is to be a new release, they're going to need a label aren't they?
