Hopefully. Not familiar with the security so not sure the best way to get the H2N in undetected. czuczu. You've recorded there before. How do you get your gear in?

Pants it mate. Two pairs of undies and jam the tape box between the undies right under your sack, and if a scanner goes off claim it’s your belt buckle. Wear a big belt buckle too! Or you can squeeze it behind your belt and up against your waist/tummy.
Doesn’t work with boxers tho!
If you have a lead on Brisbane 21 August 1992 - CT version, for the love of Bob, let me know. Please!
Always be very forward when you offer yourself up for the search - puts them off straight away Last time I went to the O2, I just chucked the Zoom in the tray with all my other Shirt for the metal detector - they weren't fussed at all.
I recorded Numan at the Festival Hall a couple of years back, had no prob getting my gear through...…. I have my mics on a croakie hanging inside my shirt( so its a necklace), I wrap a cheap pair of earphones round my Zoom (Its an mp3 player) and my battery box in a pocket (its a spare charger). All the gigs Ive been to I have hardly ever been questioned about any part of my gear. Best of luck and fingers crossed you get a decent capture. Going Hyde Park, hoping to get into the front circle bit, Im sure we will end up with a number of sources for the that one. Cheers Chatts99
Recorded at RFH last night with no problems whatsoever. Loud PA with a lot of sidefill and I was front row so set my levels lower than usual. Placebo were considerably louder than their support
Sounds fine considering I paid no attention to it once the show started. I just wore the zoom around my neck under my tshirt.

How did you get it in though? Are there metal detectors etc?

There are no metal detectors. There are no patdowns There is a cursory bag search. They did make me pour my water into a plastic cup, they also gave me some earplugs cos I was right next to the PA.
The majority of the staff are RFH employees, not bought in security - the whole experience is very pleasant! I went in for the first time fairly early, that was the only time they even checked my ticket, I came and went as I wanted after that
I literally took the Zoom out of my pocket about 10 feet from the actual venue entrance (the room, not the building) set my levels, started recording hung it round my neck in plain sight and then walked in. The only precaution I took was turning my back to the door.
They are strict about flash photography and filming. You will get a tap on the shoulder if you hold a camera in front of your face for more than a few seconds. I did try and discuss having time for composition and focus with my nearest steward but it was a bit loud for a nuanced conversation!
òla ! Thanks for the report with lots of usefull information. I alreday saw a youtube clip of LGTB from last night. I noticed some huge hanging speakers and nearly everyone in the crowd was standing. I always prefer to stand instead of sitting :-) I thinks there is no support announced for the CURAETION gig so we have to gamble about the rec level :-) kisses pm

They'll be done before 11 because the next band is on in the back bar (a free show, can't remember who). Everything started promptly, Placebo had some issue with one of Brian's cabs during the encore break and they were able to fix that in quite a leisurely way and still finish on time. I'd guess Cure done by 10.45 latest. Unless Reeves has brought his cheque book.
