I was reading Hoffman forums today and saw that there is a box set containing single disc remastered versions through The Top, and supposedly the cut off intro on Shake Dog Shake has been fixed.
Another person said there is a single disc remastered release of The Top where it is also fixed.
Can anyone verify the information concerning the remastered discs on which this is fixed? I would like to buy a single disc version but don't want to waste my money on a CD where the intro is still cut.

Yes, they should. If you look at the reviews on amazon.co.uk, you will see that a reviewer claims the intro was fixed on The Cure: Classic Album Selection.
And on this page, someone says "A friend of mine has the the single disc remaster from a few years ago. He says the same thing." The comment was made in 2012, but no additional information was offered.

Fiction Europe and Fiction Japan did a mini-LP sleeve replica remaster in 2008. Apart from that, the only one I see is the 2006 single-disc Rhino. Could it be that those who bought the regular version instead of the deluxe got the correct intro?

Or maybe it is only Rhino pressings that are incorrect? Amazon seems to be selling a Polydor/Fiction/Universal pressing from Ukraine, bar code 6 02498 40013 5, single disc, 2006.

Universal/Fiction/Polydor also released Classic Album Selection, so I would bet the Ukraine one has the right intro.
I honestly wouldn't trust it if it was stated as coming from Ukraine. Most probably it's a copy of the original master. & to be honest, the original master sounds a lot better than the remaster & SDS isn't broken either
It was my understanding that all US and UK remastered albums (all formats) had the cut intro. At least at first--either people don't know they're hearing the cut intro and think it's been fixed, or they think they're hearing a remastered album and they're not, or there are actually certain reissues with a corrected intro.
