Not sure the cell phone videos are doing it justice really. It's rare that they ever do. Although having not been there or heard any recordings yet, it's hard to tell really. Given the surprise nature of the shows & the extraordinary setlist, I guess it'll be a while before any recordings make it out of the trade pool.
I have to say after watching the clips from Hollywood, I'm not feeling it. This is one wave that needs to die out.
I thought they sounded pretty great in 2005 at the show I caught but in these clips, PM's vocals sound "muddy" and weak, IMO. Ahhh, pills...
Another artist for whom my opinion of their behavior colors my desire to see them quietly fade into oblivion.
i Saw PM and DJ this year... they sound great PM voice still deep and powerfull, i really want to see them together as BAUHAUS
Glad you had a good experience. I can't say I would go if given the opportunity. I didn't hear power in Peter M's voice in those clips, unless it was the power of age and drugs.
Bauhaus was a looooong time ago and that time has passed, ship has gone under. I know I don't need to say, "just my opinion" but I'll say it anyway.
I think they sound ok even on these poor quality clips that are available so far. I can think of a few of their contemporaries that sound way worse these days. Bauhaus was indeed a very long time ago but I think the occasional nostalgia show is ok and they seem to get the balance right. And the setlist looks pretty cool.
