I saw Peter Murphy twice this week, playing "in the flat field" album with David J and Mark Gemini Thwaite. I was really so excited by that. Great band line up playing Bauhaus songs (I know: Daniel Ash and Kevin were missing). It was as close I could stand to see Bauhaus in concert!
I have to say I have really lost any respect I may have had for Peter Murphy in the last few years. I mean, it's not like I ever had any information he was a great person, but I had given him the benefit of the doubt based on his creativity. This is pretty low, though.
Still love his music and Bauhaus but yeah I stopped having time for him when he had the security guard fired for eating a hamburger during his concert. You want to be vegetarian? Rock on! I support you. I love you. You're most likely going to live longer than me but knock it off with the nonsense.
Cardiologist Jason Song, MD of Lenox Hill Hospital, treated the singer and issued the following statement: “Mr. Murphy was admitted for treatment of a myocardial infarction. He had two stents placed in his right coronary artery and was started on medications to manage his heart condition. Due to HIPAA regulations we cannot reveal further details of his condition. He is still in the hospital for continued monitoring of his condition.”
I'm sorry, but cardiologist Jason Song, MD is full of you-know-what. HIPPA precludes you from even saying you treated Mr. Murphy. I'm shocked you are giving a statement like that in the first place.
Feel better soon, Peter. The past few years have not been kind to you.
