have you tried and managed to contact Roger and maybe Perry and Andy? They've been maybe the ones whom have been the most easy-going and chatting the most with fans, so they may want to help and provide you with something for the exhibition. Oh well, i guess you know your job, Jules Frutos from SOS, the old TIB fanzine...

What would you like to have from fans?
I'm on tenterhooks waiting to see if Smith is interested or not. Then I can guage just what needs to be done. Fyi this isn't my job. I'm a postman trying to be a writer who just happens to be a fan of the band !

@ renny ; I understand completely, i too have passions beside job, so you could have a precise idea of what you would like to do, a wish, even if it's impossible to achieve.
Obviously great if RS blessing arrives, but i believe you shouldn't wait for it, you should do it all for yourself in the first place, enjoy this experience, and the you'll see if you have a nice surprise.

I have a feeling I'm going to totally muck this reply up. I don't know how to use the forum format and I'm...of a certain age...
Well renny if you get a reply you'll have to laminate it and wear it around your neck at all times. Ok maybe that's a little to far. Hey @notkristie, I remember you of course! And paulwUK of course! I loved your interview you gave so much. IT was great. But the sound and video are really rough. Maybe I should share it here...

I am late, sorry - but this is great news.
A photo series of the most emblematic recording studios/places would be nice:
Morgan Studios, Willesden (3IB, 17S, Faith) now a SAVERS store RAK Studios (Pornography) Angel recording Studios, Islington (THOTD) Château Miraval, Correns-Var, France (KMKMKM) Outside Studios, Hookend Manor, Checkendon, Reading (Disintegration) The Manor, Shipton-on-Cherwell (WISH) Bath, St. Catherine's Court
As for the fan-thing: i would give Arusha and her CUREFANDOCUMENTARY a go - and that's all.
(And reconstruct the bandstand and ask the band to perform at the opening reception... comeonyoublues Furthermore, I consider that all Schecter-Stuff must be banned)
Renny, I wish I could help you somehow (if needed, sometimes people want to do things on their own) but I'm moving house and giga-mega-over-busy these days, sorry, I hope you have a great time doing it - whatever you can.
I forgot to ask what kind of book were you trying to write?

The bandstand is currently being moved to the memorial park

I am writing about the men of Crawley who fell in the Great War. The subject fascinates me but this new book is a monster that I am struggling to control.
Over the years of the centenary I have worked closely with Crawley town council on the great war commemorations and this is how I got involved with the museum. They want me to assist with an exhibition on the great war in November so of course I had to mention 'you do realise that it is the 40th anniversary of the Cure don't you?' And that's what started the ball rolling.
My first book, also about Crawley and the Great War, is called All the bright company of heaven and can be found on Amazon.
