This is, hands down, my favorite bootleg. This show is sooooooo good.
This was my first ever bootleg too, cost me $120 back in 1993!!!! That was a lot of money back then... mind you, it's still not chump change but you take my point.
If you have a lead on Brisbane 21 August 1992 - CT version, for the love of Bob, let me know. Please!

Wow... Porl's guitar sound, and playing on both the demo and the T&C2 show really don't match the vibe or groove of the rest of the bands instruments. Or even the song as a whole. It really cuts thru the mix, & not in a good way. I'm glad the album version is the final, true version.
i do like the t&c version though... More than that demo, and it IS a debut!

I absolutely loved that time, this was my 4th (and last) gig of the Wish warm-up tour. As much I love the boot, prob my fav too, it still doesn't capture how good they sounded in the room - the dynamic between the sparseness of Apart and Boris' ear splitting snares for the Forest breakdowns. So tight and loud
Possibly the only time I saw them play Wendy Time too!

WT is such an underrated song. It gets so much hate, which kinda makes me love it more (not really), but I don’t see why. The bassline is OLD , I’m sure I remember it being in a 1983 Forever, or am I confusing it with another song’s bassline in the version? It has a whalloping great wah wah bit in it, and the lyrics are typically great.
I think I’m gonna sit on YouTube tonight looking for versions.

Just listened to Wendy Time for first time in long time......im back in 1992!!! 😁 I never really liked it then, i always felt it didnt know what it was. It was a bluesy dark anthem moonlighting as a pop song. I thought the mix was wrong too, but hey what do i know. I enjoyed listening to it again though and from now on maybe i wont skip it as much....
