For me: Grinding Halt Another Journey By Train Other Voices The Top Close To Me Torture Icing Sugar Esten Fascination Street A Foolish Arrangement That one Lost Flower that's really bleak and depressing 39
I initially wanted to call this thread "favorite Simon basslines," but I realized that wasn't fair to Michael Dempsey, Phil Thornalley, Robert Smith, or potential others who played on Cure songs who I'm forgetting. Note that Thornalley really only played on two Cure studio tracks, Speak My Language and The Lovecats, and Robert handled bass duties for most tracks of the Japanese Whispers-Top period. I guess he couldn't play upright.

Sinking (still a dream to hear it live), Another Journey By Train, A Foolish Arrangement (such a nice choice and sadly sometimes forgotten), soft spot for Disintegration, Primary and Play For Today.

Wow, great idea !
There's so much basslines I love that it's impossible for me to list them all... And The Cure is really the only band I could say that about, which makes me so proud that they're my favorite band.
Some that come to my mind right now are :
Just Like Heaven The Same Deep Water As You Sinking Lovesong A Forest Play For Today A Letter To Elise In Your House Fascination Street Cut Apart Jupiter Crash Close To Me How Beautiful You Are It Used To Be Me Primary Another Journey By Train A Strange Day The Figurehead Three Imaginary Boys
I'm sure that the second after I publish this, I'll be banging my head against the wall thinking about the ones I forgot...
simon has always been my favorite bass player. his lines are just so melodic and creative. i love pretty much all of them, but specifically:
Fascination st Cut Burn other voices let's go to bed the love cats love song a forest icing sugar kyoto song like cockatoos screw sinking catch torture the baby screams
