I hate to say it, but I feel that if you have one greatest hits album, you have them all... The only nice part about this one is the actual acoustic hits.
atleast we get a vinyl , heard vinyl has least amount of the loudness war in modern releases. they could have atleast given this release a deluxe treatment or so with a gatefold.
Well not really. The vinyl has been pressed from a remastered plate & then some moron has seen fit to put a large photo on top of the (allegedly good quality pressed) playing surface & coated it in a layer of translucent plastic. So the "real" playing surface has been obscured by 2 layers of crap &, although, won't be prone to enormous amounts of dynamic compression to make it loud, it will feature its very own noise from the surface that UMG saw fit to sandwich the vinyl (the master) between. To give you a comparison, imagine a cassette or video tape that has been recorded over multiple times. That's what you end up with. If UMG had issued this remastered (properly) as a regular black vinyl (not any la-di-dah 180g rubbish, as weight has no effect on sonics at all) it would have made a tiny bit more sense & unless they do that, the CD will still sound infinitely better than this obvious attempt to rip off people who have jumped on the vinyl bandwagon under the impression they are getting a better product. This is one big con.

Yep. I don't hate picture discs just because they look goofy. It's because they actually do sound awful. This record store day release would actually sound better on a flexi disc.
