Not exactly a Cure purchase but I ordered Nocturne and Hyæna because Robert is on them. I already had the Nocturne DVD, which was basically my only Banshees purchase.
I bought the Banshees Peel sessions for a girlfriend in college and the Peepshow 45 in high school. Someone played me Superstition in grad school and I didn’t like it. I did enjoy the 2006 version of Hong Kong Garden.
I forgot that I also have Tinderbox on LP but haven’t heard it. A friend gave me his record collection a few years ago.
Have you got the SATB at the BBC box set? Robert's on the DVD with some of the live stuff including very early live stuff. It's a brilliant set to have

Don’t have it. Thanks for alerting me my collection is incomplete. Lol.
No pics from me...not yet anyway so yup...here I go again with too many words - no emoticons either! God I'm doomed to the 70s
I finally got a CD player for the van...I've been using an old tape deck but the drawer broke and now every time I brake sudden the deck falls from the chair spilling the tape out..It's just not working..tapes die in hot cars too!
So! I got a CD player and figured I'd hunt some internet CD's..Jeeeeezus Christ why didn't you tell me they were that cheap!!! four thousand dollars for a vinyl Paris and it's 3quid on CD...yay! So I bought Paris, and Wish, and The Top and The Cure and that Lol Tolhurst book while I was there for around 20quid...New Waterboys record costs more than that...you people with bad taste...you just don't know how lucky you are..it's very expensive being a vinyl snob.
So I'll try get into this modern stuff, this new techno that is compact disc but here's a question that I need answering.
I've just been online to see how to transfer my tapes and vinyl to CD...I used to be able to do it easy with nero...but Audacity isn't allowing the recording and the online research is just gobbledegook to me! Can anyone help/advise? i'd really appreciate it..PM obviously, no one else is gonna be interested in this stuff..It seems that other people talk modern jive like evolution is natural to them but me? Ach! I LIKE the 70s...the days when you didn't need to have a driving liscence to drive a car heheheh...good old days.
But ok..that's long enough huh? Should I give it a haircut? Nah! Help me out here someone PLEASE!!! (Hey and I might even get some old boots up on Dime if I figure it out: ) )
CDs turned up last week..Bloodflowers too, I'd forgotten that i ordered that. They sent the wrong 'top', a 2008 disc one of a 2 disc set in a 2006 cover. Did someone mention that the intro to Shake was missing on the earlier versions? And that book...Jeeez now I'm not going to say anything bad about Lol here (though I realise I have just very cat like done that with saying that ...sorry Lol!) He's no racanteur is he? And looked through all 16 pages here on Cure Chat section for your thoughts on the book but I'm not finding a thread...has there really not been any talk of the book here? I love his drumming on those first few albums and the early boots, just to leave on a positive here. If someone could give me a link to the book thread if there is one please? X
Oh...and best CD moment? When the record turned itsef over after 'apart' - I was cooking listening to that one. Funny enough the first CD I ever bought was The Cure. I got Disintegration on CD for the extra tracks. My bro had just bought a Cd player but I just couldn't stand the packaging..he'd bang on about the sound and yeah, I agreed with him..he was playing Led Zeppelin and the Cds did bring Bonham more to the surface..but those cases that screamed 'don't touch me I'll just break' and the covers like a museum shop postcard replica of the masterpiece...nah, I just couldn't get into them...hahah...and the cd player in the car has broke now too! I've got a tape deck off another friend for the car..so that was short lived. I'm gonna try get into CDs though...jeeez £3 for Bloodflowers!
