You wondered where I was, let me tell you. I was trapped on a web of periscopes and I couldn’t get out!!!. No matter how hard I tried, I was memorized and zone into the live feeds. Eyes wide- hands glued to the phone- No help in sight.
The real reason, I had best man duties yesterday. My friend knows how much of a fanatic I’m about The Cure and knows that I have been seeing all the shows live as they happen. He asked me what time the concert started and that I could leave early if so desired. I told him, I would manage and not to worry about my needs and to forgive me if I may be a bit distracted because I may scope a few songs here and there.
And that’s what I did!!! Was it wrong to listen to all the songs via scope? I manage to hide the earpiece as a secret agent would during the reception. I manage to look on this site and see that the set-list included Pornography on the sound check and did not want to miss that for the world. What a set-list it was!!. Started with Out of this world, that song settled my restless heart. During the live listen, Lovesong had just ended and I was asked to toast at my friends weeding. I had a good mental speech that I had prep for the weeding but it all chanced after that song. So I improvised a little bit. Part of my speech included a few lyrical verses from the song
“Kathleen-However far away, however long Victor stays away, whatever words he says, remember that He will always love you.”
My phone was so hot inside my pocket from scoping but I did not care about it or the second degree burns that could have happen. I was determined to listen to the entire show. My phone died right After A forest had concluded. Overall, It was a great night and a great set list. No Pornography!!ARG!! Maybe today. I was also glad that you wondered where I was and why I was missing in action.
Here are my pictures, from the concert. Roger popped out of nowhere and I took a quick picture. I didn't talk to him, the fans were rushing the stage and he quickly left. Also a just because photo, I took one of Eden Gallop. These were the two greatest nights of my life!
