Thanks to all for the reports. Very interesting set. I wonder what the attendance was? I read that in St. Paul the promoter had to reconfigure the venue twice because ticket sales were far in excess of prediction. I know the Portland show sold better than expected, too. I think we are experiencing a Cure rennisance. Makes sense. Most bands of that era are on the Native American entertainment complex circuit. To me, the Cure are still a vital force. Evidence: the 2 new songs. My hope is this tour helps lead to R n R Hall of Fame induction , a new album & then another world tour!
Only just woke up It'll take me a while to read through this lot. Best get the coffee on first
Sleeping in, huh? Good! You deserve it. Wish I could! I'm on the west coast of the US & up before you. There's something real wrong about that, haha. Coffee.,,,the elixir of life. I'm down to 2 cups a day because of some issues. I can't stop completely though. I've always said that if they want me to quit completely it will be time to get the affairs in order.
What a great read Thanks to Pipperoo & sang for driving the ship last night & for everyone who was able to follow the thread. The best way to wake up I think.
Still looking for a follow up report on #RogersHair. Did it catch on fire or something?
It's become very clear that ICNBTS is extremely personal to Robert. Last time I saw him so visibly affected was at the end of Forever in New York in 2008. Faith was also very personal to him & if I remember correctly they stopped playing it for ages because of it. Hope they keep this new one in.
Right....off to get stuck into another large coffee
