I'd get there about 4 or 5 for the GA. I'm planning on getting there about 6 or so for reserved seat. Gotta have time for tshirts, haha. It's not too far from the Mirage but keep in mind that everything on the Strip is farther than it seems. You're hiking past the Caesar's & Bellagio properties, both of which are huge. Also, I've been keeping an eye on the weather report & it looks like 95 & sunny on the day of the show. A little toasty for mid May but not bad. The only time I've been uncomfortable because of heat there has been when it's well north of 100. Doesn't lend itself to running down the Strip in the late afternoon though. It says doors at 7 on the Cosmopolitan website (Ticketbastard says 7:00 show) & i'm not sure how long they will let people queue up beforehand. There are lots of good food options on the 2nd floor of the Bellagio of all price ranges. Of course being a resort, means none are exactly cheap but there are some that won't give you a heart attack. I'm getting psyched! yoda1

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and tips. I'm currently in transit en route to Vegas. Sitting in airport terminal #2...ugh! Anyway looking forward to seeing the boys live in a few days! It's truly an unreal feeling.

I just returned from Vegas after seeing The Cure for the very first time. Overall, the experience was wonderful; however, the venue certainly could have had a few things in place in order for the day to run smoothly/more efficiently.

Being one of the first people arriving, 8 am, I was confident I'd have a prime viewing spot, but again due to the lack of security, I didn't find myself quite where I wanted, which was in the front row. However, I did however find myself planted in front of Roger though and Simon made several appearances, which was fantastic, but ugh, again some sort of security should have been in place to lessen some of the stress\Shirtty attitudes witnessed that night. There were a few physical confrontations!

Thanks to all the fantastic ladies I had the pleasure of meeting that night, and guess what...I have every intention of heading to see them once more time on this tour, as my hunger/desire for The Cure has grown...

Glad it all turned out okay in the end, despite the problems.
It's time security people realised they are there to help/ protect people & not throw their weight about.
Hoping you get to catch the band again while there's still time

I was trying to quote msdanielle, but didn't figure it out. Learning curve! I was just going to say that the security people seem to get a kick out of causing angst, anger and breakdowns. I have been to a couple shows lately, and at both venues, where the crowd waiting to get in was very organized, the security people threw curveball after curveball. A couple girls ended up in tears. And then the paper vs. phone tickets issue surfaced as we were all walking IN. Oh, yeah. You guys need to go to another entrance. People were almost passing out from the rude shocks!

Yes, it was awful that I heard similar accounts from every person I know who went to the Vegas show. Terrible when the venue makes the experience so stressful for all involved!
