Ok, who wants to meet up BEFORE the show? I have asked some friends at UIC to give some suggestions for places near the pavilion...but anyone else with local knowledge/suggestions? I lived in Evanston years ago, but mostly stayed on the north side of Chicago so not sure of the scene by the UIC campus/Greektown.
I will be driving up from Champaign-Urbana, so I might be able to give some people rides from the train station/downtown to the meet up. Let me know if people need a pick-up, maybe even drop-off after the show! I have tix to the Saturday show, but it looks like I will be driving back down to CU after the Friday show and coming back up with my friends the next day (I didn't think this through very well).
Hi sang, I am going to both shows in Chicago. A lot of things are up in the air, but it is possible I can meet up with you. As I am uncertain on all the details of the stay in Chicago I will have to get back with you.

Awesome! Hope the travel arrangements go well...and like I mentioned, I might be able to help out with some transportation.

Thank you sang, hopefully I will figure things out soon and get back with you!
Realize this is probably still too early to make plans for June 10th...but I am a planner (my favorite joke because I study city planning), and have a few suggestions from friends on where to go:
Coffee houses near UIC campus: La Colombe, 955 W Randolph St Bow Truss Coffee Roasters, 1641 W 18th St
Not very close to the pavilion, but a couple popular local breweries with food: Goose Island, 1800 N Clybourn Ave Revolution Brewpub, 2323 N Milwaukee Ave Both of these places are open late...so may be good for an after show meet-up? Of course, there are a ton of bars in the area-these two suggestions are kinda fancy.
I would be interested in meeting up before the show. I don't know where I'm staying yet but will be getting into town the day before.
Cool beans! I hope your travel arrangements go smoothly. If you like the Twilight Sad, they'll be playing a solo show that Thursday night at Lincoln Hall, which is a fantastic intimate venue. If not...nice to have a night to explore Chitown!

I actually don't know anything about the Twilight Sad...but I guess I'll be pretty familiar with them by the time Chicago rolls around :-) Sounds like it would be worth checking out. When 65 Days of Static was supporting the Cure they also played a small venue in Austin -- totally different experience and worth making the trip to see them a second time. I've never been to Chicago so looking forward to it.
It would be so perfect if you would just fall out the window

I'm only going to the show on the 11th but I'll be in town on the 10th, so keep me posted! I'll also be at The Twilight Sad in Lincoln Hall on the 9th, albeit completely jet-lagged!
Wanted to check in to gauge the interest in a meet-up pre-show. I know dptf has general admin tix so he'll probably need to get in the line-up pretty early. Do others have general admission as well? If so...maybe we can plan a meet-up in the line I have seats this first night...but I can be the line support, bringing cold drinks, snack, etc.
If you are NOT lining up and still wanna hang, let me know and we can plan something altendalton I know you're not going to this first show...but that doesn't mean you can't do a line hangout if you want to!
As you can tell, I really like meeting forum folks, lol.
To anyone that has general admission for tomorrow what time do you think you will line up? Im going up with a friend but extra company would be nice.
Hi spooky17 I am driving up in the morning and hope to be in the line pretty early-around 9:30am or so. Even though I have seats for this first night! Lol. Planning on hanging with some friends. But I think you'll be fine to come later. Message me when you arrive and I'll come chat...and probably bring some other folks from the line to chat too. See you in Chi-town!
