How many times has Bob hinted at retiring? This could well be the final hurrah
Oh, you're going to make me cry This is also what my partner said last night when I excitedly told him the latest Cure announcement, and now I feel the need to try to add more shows to my list. waaaaaaaaaaaaa! I'm still holding out for some album announcement next week for Robert's birthday. (Please, pretty please?)
can't see them ever doing anything of this size again. therefore there must be something in the pipeline. we were told there would be unheard material weren't we? and another thing. why hasn't the tour got a name?
Maybe the name thing will tie in with a product & yep, the original announcement said "as yet unreleased tracks".
& maybe this is clutching at straws, but the words "as yet" intrigue me more & more.
well we're bound to find out shortly as the tour will be underway within a month. I would imagine that somewhere in America tshirts etc are being printed at this very moment. .
71? with more to come? question. why would you do a tour of this size if you didn't have a new album to promote?
It's reasonable to think of a farewell tour, but again, there is no statment from them that suggest it, and, as somebody pointed out before, the tour does not have a name. Bob is always intriguing.
So, any other likely candidates for other shows down there? Think they'll go around the coast to pick up Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide & Perth? Wooyung's only an hour & a half from Brisbane, so not much point in doubling back there really.
I must say I'm more surprised at the scheduling than the fact they're hitting the Southern hemisphere. I was thinking they'd hop over there early 2017 rather than cram it in between North America & Europe. Guessing there may be a couple of Asian dates too.
All smacks of "let's get this over with so i can enjoy my retirement" RSX.
Well, apparently they are also playing in New Zealand...so retirement party or not, I guess they want to invite as many people as possible to the party.
