Lyrically, this is one of the most enigmatic songs for me. It's one of a small handful of songs on The Top I really like.
Was thinking at work today about the passing of Charles Manson and then how he drew inspiration for his horrific ideals and actions from the song Piggy on The Beatles self titled album. Then the concept of the "piggy in the mirror" crept in there.
It's always seemed to me the proverbial piggy in the mirror Robert sings of reveals a certain sense of self-loathing. Does anyone else find that idea makes sense? If so, I would have to wonder what traits of self inspire that feeling...
