I don't hate The Beatles, I'm not a fan either, I just don't subscribe to the theory that they "invented" music and Liverpool is the centre of the musical world because of The Beatles.

We don't say that here. The Beatles were clearly influenced by 50s rock and roll so it was invented here...bahaha...No but seriously, everyone is influenced by everyone.

I don't think so. I think it's macca's equally talent-free son
The credits do actually say it is Robert on all instruments I hate the Beatles too but I still had to check!
i know bob can play a lot of instruments but didn't know he could play the drums but listening to it there's very little drums and probably just a drum loop used.
no the beatles didnt invent music, they were lucky in that the two most talented songwriters of their generation were in the same band and they wrote in different styles which gave the band their diversity. i think of the cure as my generation's beatles as the cure produced such a high quality, diverse and experimental back catalogue. they even did the 80's "white album" with kiss me
But The Cure never started out life as a mass marketed boy band who played what they were told to. & compared to KMKMKM the white album isn't even fit enough to grace the front of a target on a shooting range
"they even did the 80's "white album" with kiss me"
- I like that. A lot!
i dont think robert compared the two double albums but he did say the head album was their beatles album. and you can see that with the diversity in styles...bit of spanish, waltz, japanese, pop, rock
But The Cure never started out life as a mass marketed boy band who played what they were told to. & compared to KMKMKM the white album isn't even fit enough to grace the front of a target on a shooting range
i wouldnt call the beatles a boy band, they always wrote their own songs and played their instruments. ok there are some covers on their earlier albums but then again the cure did foxy lady.
safe to say that kiss me/white album are two of the greatest ever double albums. do like the wall, london calling and giant steps too
I would call them exactly that. Boy band. Probably the original boy band. 6 covers on the first album & 7 on the second I believe Wedding party boy band then. An affront to music & one that really ought not to be included in the same paragraph as The Cure & The Clash & Pink Floyd. The only reason Canada won't apologise for Bryan Adams & Justin Beiber is because Britain won't apologise for the b**tles
But let's not forget that c moon was written by the talent-free macca & his even more than talent-free wife & had nothing to do with the b**tles.
