It's 25 years ago this May that The Cure released their ultimate gloom album 'Disintegration' so, rather bugger about dancing round a maypole, it only seems fitting that Len & Cliff should make this Mayday Weekend's Feeling Gloomy a tribute to Robert Smith & co's timely masterpiece.

They'll be playing the best tracks from the album as well as all your other favourite The Cure songs throughout the night. And of course there'll be the usual Gloomy favourites from the likes of The Smiths, Suede, Blur, Kate Bush, The Libertines, Depeche Mode, Pulp, Joy Division, Blondie, Moz and more!

So get that hairspray out, backcombe your hair and get ready to stomp around to all your fave Gloom tunes!

To be fair, I think New Life has superb lyrics, only bettered by Happy Birthday ... .. .

Wonder what happened to that girl who threatened to have me banned if I continued to slate Depeche Mode? I did feel such a huge glow of smugness after banning her, just for a week though, she never returned after the week.
