Seriously, the tones were way off "How to sound like the Cure"? They could start by at least learning the right parts...

The sounds were off... According to the 2016 tour book RS uses BOSS Pedalboards with Boss GE7/BD2/SD1/DD3/PH3/BF2/OS2/CH1/OD3/CE5/LS2/TU3 pedals & a Jim Dunlop Crybaby Wah.

Strange that he uses a PH3 and a BF2, as opposed to a PH2 and BF2 or a PH3 and a BF3.

He has three drive/distortion pedals and two different chorus pedals. Given he has a line selector there I guess he has two chains and each has a chorus...

Correction: 4 drive/distortion pedals... BD2, SD1, OS2, OD3.. Interesting that 1/3 of his pedals are overdrive/distortion.. four are modulation, five if you include the Wah - which isn't really a modulation pedal but whatever......

I LOVE that RS uses Boss pedals.. there are soooo many bedroom bandits on sites like TheGearPage.net that swear by boutique pedals because "Boss pedals suck (tone)" yet RS has no issues.. Neither does Dave Navarro....... I have a tonne of Boss pedals and love them...

Last time I checked, the guitar one had only the BD2 and the SD1 for dirt. Don't remember the full thing... I think it ended with PH>DD>BF

I imagine you're right about the two different effects chains given there's a line selector in there. I guess it's something like this:

Guitar cable in > TU3 > LS2 then

Chain 1: LS2 > CE5 > OD3 > Line out to amp
Chain 2: LS2 > CH1 > OS2 > BF2 > PH3 > DD3 > SD1 > BD2 > GE7 > Wah > Line out to amp

I would guess the chain 1 i have there is for the Bass V1 and chain 1 for the rest of his guitars except the acoustic.

It's a bit hard to see in the pics but I think he has two Boss pedalboards, one a three uint case, and one a six unit case. so I guess the tuner and line selector are separate to the chain 1 and chain 2 peds..

It would be cool if one of those guitar websites/shops/whatevers did a video on his peds like they did for Reeves guitars...
