Saw a few posts about this on here (if mods deem this to be merged with the other DM thread, go for it) so excited!!
& done I do hope the album is better than the last 2. Since Exciter (which also had some rough patches) the albums have been quite disappointing. But even so. Never been to a bad DM concert. They always put on a great show
For me, honestly, it will depend on whether I fall head over heels with this new album or not. I am super interested to see the setlists too.
I'd forget the album. You know that whatever the album's like, the shows are going to be awesome. I thought Sounds of the Universe was awful, but saw that tour & it was spectacular. Even the SOTU songs were good.

Exactly, I'll go however the album is, they "never let me down" live

HA! Good and true points, all. They DO do a ripper of a live show.
Got my 'lympic Stadium tix in the lovely golden circle - apparently there will be an disinfectant footbath on the way in and out so you dont pick up anything nasty from the grubby whufc pitch.. Looking forward to the mic twirls, fancy Corbijn backdrops, Martin's ballads and 70000ish sets of waving arms for NLMDA
If they get the same support acts they had for the Crystal Palace Stadium gig then even better!
I really like both Ultra and Exciter now but it wasn't until the reissues that I re-listened and got into them. The most recent 3 suffer a bit from being released in an era of ipods and playlists - they all have great tunes but I rarely listen to them as albums. I've got Delta Machine on now and it sounds great, particularly Dave. Wouldn't kill them to occasionally write a nice melody line though!
Bought tickets for Rome show in summer 2017. Venue is huge, they had played there a few years ago, honestly I don't like anymore to attend concert in such kind of venue, but it take or leave it of course. DM are always great to see, even if, as an old fan (first concert in 1990) I hate listening to battery especially in the hard techno pop songs.

As much as I love them, I'm skipping this tour. Mainly because stadium gigs are just horrible - and the London one is going to be a right royal pain in the posterior to get to.
Drat it!!
