I would be in heaven, if they would play some b-sides as encores
Well, they did when they originally played Reflections & they were from the period too. Mostly.
In all honesty, I was a bit miffed they even bothered with that 3rd encore. It just didn't feel right after all that had gone before. I think I even put that in the review I wrote for Zillo magazine too. Even The Hanging Garden was totally out of place. You see, Do The Hansa was spot on wasn't it? Why did they hurl The Hanging Garden in there? Struck me as a "just for the sake of it" moment & not the real spirit of the show itself.
**** chronology, that version of Hanging Garden was probably the most impressive live version I have ever seen any band do of anything, ever. Tight beyond belief and absolutely terrifying, gave me new respect to the original. Stunning!
Yep. It was a cracker, but where was Pillbox Tales and Do The Hansa? Not to mention I'm A Cult Hero and I Dig You. Those all deserved to get an outing I. the contact of the show concept. Sadly, they threw in irrelevant songs at the end, albeit very well played. If they do another "trilogy" I do hope they keep it "period".
I didn't mind the inclusion of "The Hanging Garden" .... I was still buzzing from "World War" and, I agree with ohfuchsia, it was perfectly played. The Hanging Garden usually leaves me unmoved but, this was good.
At this point I don't care what order they do things in as long as they play something different!!! And more Cure-like if you know what I mean! I've had it with the pop goo! They have SOOO many great songs and they have been limiting it to 20 or so of the same things over and over! Imagine being at one of these concerts and you THINK The Cure is going to end with KAA and they going into Forever and/or All Mine!? Holy Crap! True Cure fans would spontaneously combust!

Oh yes, I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to get to hear All Mine & Forever played live one day. But sadly I don't believe, it'll happen...
Don't give up hope melly80, it can happen at every Cure show you're attending, believe me It was such a surprise for me 2002 in Hamburg, it was like Birthday and Christmas together
I walk wondering why, the same dream so many times

That Hamburg concert was a superb concert all round.
